I, Sean Bagshaw, am an Ashland photographer because of the many marvelous opportunities for Ashland photography in Southern Oregon and the placves within it. There are a large amount of locations I could call home, and a ton of locations I’d live. Since arriving in Ashland Oregon to go to varsity in 1986, I have yet to be in another place I would prefer live in. Since starting my work as a photographer in Southern Oregon I have even more reason to base myself in the Rogue Valley near Ashland. I go to rather a lot to photograph in many different sections of the US and the globe, but being a local Ashland, Oregon photographer I always have great openings for photography nearby to home. I frequently go out to photograph in town or in the close hills and vineyards in the beginning of the morning. Spring and fall are my two favorite perods of the year to take Ashland photos.
In April, Ashland is only arriving into its best spring time of the season. From mid April and mid June I endeavor to photograph Ashland or the encircling areas at least once a week to keep up with the quickly changing weather conditions, flower bloooms and the changeing of seasons. I make many visits to a lot of my favorite places, such as Lithia Park, The Plaza, Main Street, Emigrant Lake, Grizzly Peak and the encircling hills.
The sister city relationship between Ashland and Guanajuato was formally established in 1969. I have taken a great amount of satisfying pictures in that extraordinary Mexican city as well. I am lucky to have been in many beautiful and photogenic places.
While I am just about always seeking new and beautiful environs to find superb pictures I can always remain a southern Oregon photographer and will continue to take Ashland photographs for a long time to come.
